What is a Dashboard?¶
A Real-time Dashboard is used to organize unified service assurance data (events, metrics, and topology) as well as third party or integration user interfaces to a completely normalized end-user display. Dashboards allow you create static reporting as well as real-time dynamic unified interfaces (based upon device or service). Dashboards are edited through a web interface that allows you to drag/drop individual interfaces or Panels onto the dashboard configuration.

Dashboards Navigation Explained¶
When the Dashboards navigation pane is displayed, the users will see the Dashboard Group that has been assigned as the user groups Restrictive Dashboard Group, and any Dashboards that are in the group. The user will also see child Dashboard Groups and any Dashboards in the child groups. For example, using this layout:
-
Root (Dashboard Group)
-
Dashboard Group 1
-
Dashboard Group 3
-
Dashboard E
-
Dashboard F
-
-
Dashboard C
-
-
Dashboard Group 2
- Dashboard D
-
Dashboard A
-
Dashboard B
-
If the user group's restrictive dashboard group is set to Root, they will see the entire layout above. However, if the user group's restrictive dashboard group is set to Dashboard Group 1, they will see Dashboard C as it is a member of Dashboard Group 1, but they will also see Dashboard Group 3, Dashboard E and Dashboard F.
