The Assure1 Ping Tool is used to try pinging a device through an event list tool, then show the results to the user.

In distributed environments, this tool will only work if the presentation server can communicate with the end device.

The following list shows the technical details needed for advanced administration of the application:

Synopsis - ./PingTool [OPTIONS] TARGET

Options:

 -t, --Timeout         Exit after specified number of seconds
 -c, --Count           Number of packets to send
 -4,-p, --PreferIPv4   If DNS resolves to both IPv4 and IPv6 address options, prefer the IPv4 (default is to prefer the IPv6)
 -?, -h, --Help        Print usage and exit
